Microsoft have put together a ‘big headlines’ summary of the new Becta Data Handling guidance that is available. Becta has been working with the DCSF, the Information Commissioner’s Office, schools and suppliers to produce information handling security good practice guidance to reflect the procedures in this report.
There’s lot of information there, spread over 125 pages, a lot which is not necessarily relevant for primary schools. Look at the Microsoft site for a quick appraise before your ICT co-ordinator gets too depressed with the bedtime reading.
